Ever since I was a little kid in preschool, I’ve always loved reading books. As I grew older, I tried my hand in writing stories and poems. Nothing was as exciting as opening a crisp leaf of a brand new notebook, and writing on it. Haha. In college, with the rise of the internet, I started writing a blog… and 8 years later, here I am, still having a knack at it ‘cause it helps keep my sanity through med school. Haha.
What is my point for saying all of this? Well, my point, really, is that IT’S NOT THAT HARD TO WRITE, ONCE YOU’VE FOUND THE INSPIRATION TO. :) What better way to find inspiration than to have a reason for writing…
My sorority, the Mu Sigma Phi Sorority, is currently calling for entries for one of our projects, GAWAD PANITIKANG PANGKALUSUGAN: A Nationwide Storybook Writing Competition, that aims to promote health and safety through entertaining and informative books for children aged 5 - 10 years old.
Now is your chance! We’re offering a PRIZE of Php 25,000 in cash for winning stories written in 500 words or less.
If you’ve always thought about writing or getting published, this is your chance. You can help us teach the youth on how to keep safe and healthy. Sit down and tell us your story, so that together, we can help build a healthier and safer Philippines!
